All hell breaks loose at Fort Chicken summer school when tainted chicken nuggets turn pre-pubescents into feral and aggressive zombie cannibal combos.
The teachers might be immune from the virus but not from the discomfort of being eaten. When the teachers with the misfortune of having yard duty at the time of the outbreak get chewed down upon, the remaining teachers hole up in the staff room.
They take turns trying to steal the show – Alison Pill, Rainn Wilson, Leigh Whannel and Elijah Wood among them, but the lead joke here seems to be derived by rational adults being forced to beat shit out of frenzied infected kids. While the concept might be funny/ridiculous, no one in the film can manage to find a way to make anything here funny/funny, which is pretty important to an alleged comedy.
In fact by far the grossest thing in the entire film comes in the opening minutes where they show us in grotesque detail the process involved in turning chickens into chicken nuggets. Nearly lost my lunch during that bit, the eighty minutes that followed only made me lose my interest.
Final Rating – 5 / 10. It’s funny because they beat up kids. I’ve said it twice, are you laughing yet?
