Three Men and a Baby (Review)

three_men_and_a_babyIn some ways society has moved on a long way in thirty years. Three Men and a Baby suggests that three well to do young professionals might be left high and dry with the arrival of an unexpected package containing an infant. Suddenly these masters of their respective domains become helpless onlookers, befuddled and incredulous. For the first time in years wanting a woman for reasons other than their instant gratification.

Between a shoehorned subplot about drugs, the jokes about feeding and changing the baby, then dealing with the crying and lack of sleep, seem archaic only three decades on.

I seem to recall that way back then – when I was nearer the baby’s age than the three handsome bachelors – this was all so very hilarious and indeed profitable as women flocked to laugh at the handsome men out of their depth, and I guess the men tagged along and congratulated themselves that it was not them changing or bathing the child.

This seems as relevant and appropriate as stand up comedians pointing out how black people differ from white people, which proves change isn’t always a bad thing.

Final Rating – 6 / 10. Hey look an 80s film. That’ll be cute *watches*… Oh that’s too bad.

About OGR

While I try to throw a joke or two into proceedings when I can all of the opinions presented in my reviews are genuine. I don't expect that all will agree with my thoughts at all times nor would it be any fun if you did, so don't be shy in telling me where you think I went wrong... and hopefully if you think I got it right for once. Don't be shy, half the fun is in the conversation after the movie.
